Steve Grand launches Kickstarter campaign for 1st album & releases sneak-peek single!

For months now, our fans have been asking, “What’s next?” Well, today we have an answer. Steve just launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund his first album, which he hopes to release in May. And to give everyone a sneak peek, he’s released a new music video, “Back to California,” on YouTube.  The audio track is available for free on Bandcamp.com (and also on iTunes).

We’ve got 31 days to raise $81,000. But we know we can do it. Fans are the reason Steve’s gotten this far. They’re the ones who made him an overnight sensation. And now Steve’s fans will make his dream of making a record a reality. This is truly a story of a grassroots movement.

Quick Bio: Not long ago, Steve Grand was a little-known Chicago singer-songwriter. But that changed July 2, 2013, when his self-funded music video, “All-American Boy,” posted to YouTube. The song — about unrequited love between two men — went viral, accumulating more than 2.75 million views, landing Steve in the national spotlight and catapulting the song to Buzzfeed’s list of the “24 Most Brilliant Music Videos from 2013.” Steve has been hailed as a “viral sensation” and one of America’s “first openly gay country stars.” Steve released a second single, “Stay,” then a third, “Back to California,” which offers a sneak peek at his first full-length album due out this spring.  More info is available at SteveGrand.com.
